Fundación Cibervoluntarios (www.cibervoluntarios.org) is an NGO made by social entrepreneurs that promotes the use and knowledge of ICTs as a means to alleviate social gaps, generate social innovation and foster citizen empowerment. Starting in 2001, now it counts with 1500 cybervolunteers throughout Spain, who give support to around 400 grass root collaborating organizations (youth, seniors, people with disabilities, women, educative centres, other ngos....). Cibervoluntarios has developed the "Empodera for the SDgs" online platform to involve citizens in the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN's Agenda 2030.
Empodera for the SDGs (www.empodera.org), is platform that creates processes of social innovation to solve challenges and develop citizen initiatives aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, from the identification of the challenge, through creative solutions and collaborations, until the design and implementation of the best ideas, to make them viable and sustainable. It counts on the support of UNITAR (united Nations Institute for Training and Research.
